Singing in Italian, German, French and more with our voice academy!

Led by Dr. Hoi Lam Ip (Helena Yip Nolen), SDCVA is an elite academy where children learn the art of classical singing in languages like Italian, French and German to build essential musical and cognitive skills. Dr. Ip brings two decades of international experience from British Hong Kong, Japan, and America—spanning university classrooms to private studios—and interacts fluently in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. As a mother of three young daughters, she offers a uniquely nurturing environment that understands a child’s heart while setting the highest standards for our three annual community-focused performances. This one-of-a-kind program focuses on timeless repertoires composed before 1929, to help students gain unmatched confidence and poise. Join us for a journey and mastery that resonates far beyond the stage.

3 Annual
Classical Total Artwork Theatre Programs

Gesamtkunstwerk (noun, music): A ‘total work of art’ in which music, drama, text, staging, and visual design are carefully unified into one complete artistic experience. In our program, this means students learn to blend singing, acting, and stage presence into one powerful performance.
